Ok, which achievements did you expect to be easy to get, only to find yourself smashing your handset against a wall trying to do it?

The achievement in Halo 3 to kill an enemy with a Mongoose in multiplayer is killing me... JUST. LET. ME. KILL. YOU.

There's an achievement in Crackdown worth 150 points. If you had the DLC pack for it, you had the option from the main menu of doing street races.

Win every race, (about 8 of them) with every car available to use in that race (again, about 8), and that achievement is yours. Problem is, the racing in Crackdown was absolutely awful.

You always started at the back of the "grid", meaning you had to get through around 10 of the worst driving, cheating bastard scummy AI drivers you have ever seen. Not only that, if you did manage to get through into 1st, and get some clear air to open up a lead, the drivers behind you were given UNPARALLELED boosts of speed to catch up to you.

Add those problems to the fact that a couple of tracks took you round the coast of Los Muertos, where boulders and rocky outcroppings were plentiful, and enough to completely fuck up a race and you have frustration incarnate.

Then when you factor in that on those 2 tracks, the Agency Buggy, an open wheel shitstorm of car must be used, and you have instant homocidal tendencies.

Now, it was on one of those tracks, I died inside. Not content with getting nowhere even after the start of the third lap, thanks in no small part to cheating AI boosts, course design that wrecked you, and 10 cars abreast on a road only fit for 4, imagine this - an open wheel car touching another open wheel car, even very slightly, WILL FUCK. YOU. UP.

I tried getting that achievement, I really did, but after trying more than a dozen times to even get one lap in on the above track, I calmly took my controller outside and chopped it to pieces with a hammer and chisel.

And I have to say, I never felt so good.

Got me a cheap pink one a week or so later, and I'm a lot calmer now. ebayed Crackdown just to be sure though...

Oh and level 6 Zero G basketball in Dead Space.

I just cant get oriented right after landing, and I HATES it.

I haven't got any in N3(99nights) all ach are for maxing out each soldier or completing a lvl,with each lvl lasting nigh on half hour with no checkpoints then I say fuk u. Bejeweled2 is another thorn in my ass too.

It did take a while to do I admit, and if you watch the video you'll notice I don't so much as run the other guy over, as cartwheel into him. But I do walk away from the crash.

Personally I'm struggling with Two for One. I came close once to killing two people at the same time with the lazer, but they killed each other before I could fire it. Grrr...

Got that one too, although I can't really offer advice other than perseverance. I probably lucked into the achievement more than because of any kind of skill.

But you're right about Street Racer Elite. I can't even do the bog standard Street Racer achievement.

So what else?

LEGO Star Wars II - Death Star II Undefeated - An easy enough level to complete, just not without dying at least once. To get the Achievement, YOU MUST NOT DIE. Impossible!

Triggerheart Excelica - Other than three achievements pretty much everything in this game is bloody hard. One particular achievement though Perfect Play requires you to complete the game without dying. Well, unless you have the reflexes of River Tam, this just isn't happening.

I just watched your Mongoose Splat. Veeeeery nice. I've done the same... just on to a team mate.

Level 6 Zero G Basketball is easy. You just need to fully upgrade Kinesis and stand in one place.

I've got a bugged achievment in Rainbow Vegas 2, the one where you have to shoot 30 enemies while on a rope, or something like that, i have shot over 40 enemies in a row while i was on a rope, then 40 on a rope while the enemies were on a rope too, it just does not unlock for me...

You can use kinesis in the basketball ?????
